• Enquiry forms: your name, phone/WhatsApp number, email, preferred country, study level, intake, budget and any message you send.
• Student portal account: your name, email, phone and password (stored securely by our login provider; we never see your password).
• Profile details you add: date of birth, city, passport number, education history and scores, English test results, work experience and study preferences.
• Documents you upload: for example passport, marksheets, test scorecards, CV, SOP and recommendation letters.
• Basic technical data: browser type and device information needed to run the website securely.

• To contact you about your enquiry and provide counselling.
• To shortlist universities, prepare and submit applications, and support scholarship, education loan and visa applications.
• To show your application progress and updates in the student portal.
• To keep our services secure and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when needed to provide our services, and only with your agreement:

• Universities and colleges you choose to apply to.
• Visa and immigration authorities, and loan providers, when you ask us to help with those applications.
• Trusted service providers that host our website, database and email, under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Your data is stored with a secure cloud database provider. Documents are kept in private storage that only you and authorised Uplift Abroad staff can access, and connections to our website are encrypted. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, unless you ask us to delete it or the law requires us to keep it longer.

Under applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where relevant, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your information or close your portal account;
• withdraw your consent at any time (this may stop us from providing some services).
